Position Overview: As an Auction House Photography Intern, you will work closely with our experienced photography team to capture high-quality images of artworks and collectibles for auctions and marketing materials. This internship provides a unique opportunity to develop skills in a professional auction house. Responsibilities: Photography: Assist in setting up and photographing artworks, antiques, and collectibles with an emphasis on capturing accurate colors, details, and textures. Collaborate with the photography team to ensure consistent and high-quality images for cataloging and marketing purposes. Handle and care for valuable items during the photography process. Execute all other tasks and duties as directed by management Post-Production: Assist in the post-production process, including image editing, color correction, and cropping. Ensure that all images meet the auction house's standards for quality and accuracy. Cataloging Support: Work closely with cataloging teams to provide visual documentation of items for auction catalogs and online listings. Assist in maintaining organized digital files and records of all photographed items. Equipment Maintenance: Help maintain and organize photography equipment and studio space. Report any technical issues or maintenance needs promptly. Qualifications: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in photography, visual arts, or a related field. Passion for photography, especially in the context of fine art and collectibles. Prior product photography is a plus. Proficiency in photography techniques, lighting, and composition.
