POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Art Director, Photography plays a key role in supporting the Art Director, Senior Director, Creative and Brand, and Creative Director across photography projects. This position involves overseeing all E-commerce photography requirements, encompassing both still life and on-figure photography, along with some in-studio editorials. The ideal candidate should possess quick-thinking abilities and problem-solving skills. Collaboration with the Graphic Design and Retouching Teams is essential to ensure timely delivery of all imagery. The Associate Art Director will be responsible for providing detailed retouching instructions after each photoshoot. Additionally, they will lead the conceptualization and direction of in-studio editorials for both Eloquii and CUUP brands. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintain an in-depth understanding of fashion trends, PDP photography techniques, and branding principles, staying current with emerging trends in design, technology, and E-commerce to keep our creative approach competitive and relevant. * Present creative campaign ideas to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders * Demonstrate comfort and confidence in presenting conceptual ideas and artistic vision. * Develop concepts and executions for both still and motion imagery, conveying vision and swipe files. Collaborate with the production team to actualize the envisioned imagery. * Work closely with the creative team to ensure the seamless execution of creative concepts, focusing on technical accuracy, talent selection, and adherence to project timelines. * Cultivate and sustain relationships with Sample Coordinators to guarantee the timely receipt and readiness of samples for upcoming shoots. * Collaborate with the Art Director and Senior Director to shape and refine the imagery for each brand across various projects, leading on-set art direction during E-commerce photography shoots. * Oversee the entire process from conceptualization to post-production, which includes identifying new talent, i.e. photographers, stylists, and casting, sourcing pertinent image and video references, and offering precise post-production guidance. * Partner closely with on-set photographers, stylists, hair, and makeup artists to foster effective communication and collaboration, ensuring the alignment of shoots with brand standards and industry benchmarks. * Liaise with the Production team as necessary, oversee communication with crew members and coordinating shoot requirements while adhering to budgetary guidelines. * Drive, own, and iterate on the brand visual identity and photo direction that meet our business and brand objectives, resonating with our customers and evoking emotional responses. * Own retouching process: collaborating and troubleshooting on complex imagery as needed. * Provide clearly notated PDF of shoot edits daily, complete with retouching notes for Graphic Design and Re-touching team to ensure that imagery aligns seamlessly with layout design requirements in a timely manner. * Ensure consistent interpretation of our visual brand strategy and creative guidelines in daily photoshoots, maintaining brand integrity and relevance.
